Workshop in detail
Kokedama is the Japanese art of growing a plant without a pot: the roots sit in a ball of soil, wrapped in moss and bound with string. Fabrizia opens with where the craft comes from, then guides you through every step: shaping the mud ball, securing the plant with moss, and choosing how to display it, hanging or resting on a dish.
Before you leave, she shares the care tips that keep a kokedama thriving, from how to water it to where it likes to live. You go home with a living piece, made with your own hands.
