Workshop in detail
Shape silver with Laura and leave with a pair of hoop earrings you made from scratch. Your session begins with a lump of raw silver. Laura walks you through melting it down and forming it into a bar, then guiding it through a rolling mill to get the right thickness and profile. From there, you bend and work the silver into your own pair of hoop earrings. Laura has practised this way since 2015 and teaches in the same way she works: you learn the actual techniques and tools of her practice, not a simplified version. At the end of the session, you polish your earrings by hand. They are ready to wear.
