Workshop in detail

Get your hands into a crock with Moritz and discover what it means to make food that is actually alive.

Moritz founded SauerCrowd to make the science of gut health tangible, and this workshop is where that shows. Held at Kitchen Republic in Amsterdam-West, it opens with thirty minutes on the gut microbiome: what it is, how it shapes the way you feel, and why fermented food is one of the most direct ways to feed it. Over tea and coffee, Moritz covers the connection between gut bacteria and mental wellbeing with enough depth to be useful, without turning into a lecture.

Then it is your turn. From 12:30, you pack your own glass jar with seasonal organic vegetables, fruits, and spices, guided step by step through the lacto-fermentation process. Moritz explains what is happening at a microbial level as you go. The jar you fill is yours to take home, sealed and ready to ferment on your own counter.

The session closes with a tasting of SauerCrowd's own fermented range and an open question session with Moritz.
